Baztan Race 2026 – From Bayonne to Pamplona

Get ready for an exceptional cycling adventure in the heart of the Basque Country! On Sunday, September 13, 2026, the Baztan Race will take you from Bayonne to Pamplona along the spectacular roads of the Baztan Valley.

With challenging mountain passes, lush green valleys, mysterious forests, and breathtaking panoramic views, this new cyclosportive promises an experience that’s as intense as it is exotic. Inspired by the Basque legend of the Basajaun, it invites cycling enthusiasts to push their limits while discovering a wild and authentic region.

🚴 Two routes to take on the challenge:

• Baztan Ona: 131 km and 1,900 m of elevation gain

• Baztan Real: 185 km and 3,250 m of elevation gain

The concept combines performance and enjoyment: participants start at their own pace within a defined time window, and only the main mountain passes are timed. The rest of the route is un timed, allowing participants to ride together, admire the scenery, and pace themselves.
