Blue Week 2026 in Hendaye

The Blue Week 2026 returns to Hendaye from Monday, October 5th to Friday, October 9th, 2026, for a full week dedicated to seniors, prevention, culture, and intergenerational connections!

This year’s program is packed with exciting activities:

• Monday, October 5th: Shared breakfast at the Gaztelu Halls (9:30 AM - 12:00 PM) for a friendly gathering with Home Help Services, local associations, and professionals. Free, registration required at 05 59 48 23 10.
• Tuesday, October 6th: Culinary workshops at Aizpurdi High School (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM) to prepare for the Tea Dance. Followed by an intergenerational singing basket at Gaztelu Halls (12:00 PM - 1:30 PM) hosted by the group Kuxk. The afternoon features a Tea Dance (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM) at Gaztelu Halls, with students from Aizpurdi Professional High School. Free, registration required.
• Wednesday, October 7th: Intergenerational afternoon at Haizpean EHPAD (2:30 PM - 4:30 PM) with the itinerant farm EMEKOPA for animal discovery and sharing. Free, registration required.
• Thursday, October 8th: A day dedicated to culture, heritage, and well-being with a guided tour of the Andaye Museum (10:30 AM - 11:30 AM), a stroll at the Old Fort of Andaye (led by the association Agora Txingudi), and a discovery session at the Municipal Pool. In the afternoon, prevention workshops (2:00 PM - 5:00 PM) at Gaztelu Halls: first aid, fall prevention, balance, and discovery of technical aids for autonomy. Free for those 60 and older, registration on-site or at 05 59 48 23 10.
• Friday, October 9th: Blue Market & boat trip to Caneta! Two routes to choose from: walking from Denentzat Social Center or by boat from the Hendaye Sails nautical base. A convivial buffet awaits you at Caneta Port, hosted by the group Herri Kantu Hendaia in partnership with the Caneta residents’ association. Free for those 60 and older, limited spots, registration required.

Throughout the week, workshops and games are also offered for grandparents and grandchildren during after-school and leisure activities.
