Screening: Fjord

Fjord, a drama directed by Cristian Mungiu (2h26), delves into a community where traditional education is questioned after bruises are discovered on a child's body.

The Gheorghe, a very pious Romanian-Norwegian couple, settle in a village at the end of a fjord. Their children become very close to the Halbergs' children, despite different upbringings. When the teaching staff discovers bruises on Elia's body, the eldest of the Gheorghe children, the community wonders if the traditional education received by the Gheorghe children could be the cause.
