The Life Before Us

The Comédie des Champs-Élysées presents The Life Before Us, one of Romain Gary’s masterpieces, winner of the 1975 Goncourt Prize.

A story that tells of something very simple: before religions, borders, countries, cultures, and all that humans have invented to define or separate themselves, there are two human beings capable of loving each other. And sometimes, that love is stronger than anything else.

Myriam Boyer takes on the iconic role of Madame Rosa, which earned her the Molière Award for Best Actress in 2008.

The direction is by Tigran Mekhitarian, following the success of his adaptation of Promise at Dawn, also by Romain Gary, at the Théâtre de la Contrescarpe.
