Scheherazade, Suspended on the Cliff — Excerpts Reading

In a kingdom known only to legends, Sultan Shahriar, broken by betrayal, decides to marry a new woman each day and execute her at dawn. Scheherazade, a free and courageous young woman, volunteers to become his queen. On their first night, she begins telling him a story—but stops at the most captivating moment, just before sunrise. The sultan postpones her execution to hear the end. The next night, she does the same. She saves herself one night at a time and grants the kingdom’s other women a reprieve. The stories intertwine and echo each other, imaginary worlds crossing into reality and gradually giving Shahriar the chance to change. It is not just Scheherazade’s survival at stake—it is the power of a story to transform a man. And perhaps a world.
