Conference with Leina Sato: Meeting Cetaceans

Cité de l’Océan in Biarritz invites you to a special evening Tuesday, November 17, 2026 at 7:00 PM to explore our connection with the Ocean and the world of cetaceans, featuring Leina Sato.

Franco-Japanese freediver and apnea diver, Leina will share her journey and fascinating encounters with whales, sperm whales, and dolphins through:

• A screening of the documentary Mother Ocean (The Journey) (52 min), directed by Jan Kounen and Anne Paris ;
• A Q&A session with Leina Sato ;
• A book presentation and signing of her new book ISANA, Wisdom of Cetaceans and Japanese Animist Traditions.
