La Jalousie

An ordinary man, after attempting to justify a late return, discovers that his wife has not yet come home. The situation then spirals into an excessive fit of jealousy, revealing the absurdity of his own lies. This boulevard play, written by Sacha Guitry, subtly explores the mechanisms of self-love and suspicion. Michel Fau’s staging, sumptuous and fast-paced, highlights this classic of French theatre.
