De Renava Biennale - Nimu Dormi

About
The De Renava Biennale presents Nimu Dormi, an immersive and committed exhibition drawing from Afro-Brazilian beliefs and rituals, particularly Candomblé, and engaging with capoeira and voguing.
Through works like Puma Camille’s Manikongo (video, sound, 7’00’’, 2025), this biennale explores how dance, music, and community can become forms of resistance against exclusionary systems, colonial legacies, and social violence. It highlights the creation of spaces for self-protection, personal transformation, and collective uprising for marginalized communities.
A celebration that becomes an act of struggle, where the party turns into a strategy for survival and resistance.
